Looking for a unique place to hold a corporate meeting, board meeting, community meeting or seminar? It’s the Renton History Museum.

The Museum is housed in an Art Deco-style former fire station at Mill Avenue South and Houser Way. Constructed in 1942, it is the last existing structure in the area built under the Works Progress Administration (WPA). Today, the Museum has a collection of over 15,000 photographs spanning all periods of Renton's past. Over 90,000 objects also document Renton’s history; these include early books and newspapers, records from local businesses, ephemera and photos relating to school life, and collections of coal mining and fire-fighting artifacts.

Unique meeting space is available in Museum Gallery. Depending on the exhibit, the Gallery can host 30 – 40 seated audience-style, or for up to 90 – 100 for a standing party.

Amenities include full kitchen with sink and oven; 6 6-foot tables; and 50 folding chairs; renters must provide all other needs. No caterers are on-site, but outside caterers are welcome. We can recommend caterers. There is no public Wi-Fi, or audio/visual equipment available for use. Staff available for welcome and to introduce exhibits, if needed.

The Museum remains open to the public, Tuesday-Friday, 10am – 4pm. No Sundays. Some restrictions apply, to protect exhibits and collections.
